Currently based in the UK and recognised as a renowned hard working and forward thinking artist, Sejon (aka Chris Jones) is refining these qualities towards becoming an established electronic music producer and DJ. Spending most of his hours dedicated to cultivating his productions in the studio, Sejon has also found time to establish and manage UK techno imprint Gnosis Records, plus host his regular ‘Cadencia Podcast’ mix series. As a DJ, Sejon has played for over ten years with bookings and residencies for reputable house and techno promoters in the UK’s South Coast and London scenes, including Gnosis, Product, PunchFunk and Full Circle. His early residencies also extended to appearing under the umbrella of Hi-Tek-Soul and Wonderland events at Ministry Of Sound, plus the HI:FI South and Global Gathering Festivals in the mid-noughties. With a strong competency on either turntables, CDJs or Traktor with MIDI controllers, Sejon is able to execute a thoroughly unique, captivating and defined DJ style. Preferring a minimum of three decks at his disposal, Sejon’s choice of records are sublimely blended together stylishly on the fly, while embracing the unique challenge and creative merit of each performance format. His approach to DJing resulted in Sejon winning the South West Four DJ Competition in 2011 and consequently playing at the Minus night during the festival weekend that year. In production, Sejon has been consistently releasing his music on independent labels since 2012, after successfully accomplishing a First Class BA degree in Digital Music at university. His initial emergence on the Naples based Etichetta Nera with a remix, led to three well received EPs between 2012-2014 and an album in 2015. Along with debut EPs also released on Spark Musik and D-Form under the guidance of Steve Parker and Angel Alanis in 2014, Sejon’s stripped back, hypnotic styling continued to gain momentum. Sejon has spent recent years focusing primarily on cultivating and refining his musical output, leading him to experiment further into darker, hypnotic territory. His latest track, released in 2017 is included on the Faut Section 3rd Anniversary Compilation alongside prolific artists including Lewis Fautzi, Oscar Mulero, Pfirter, Jonas Kopp, Zadig and many more. Recently collaborating with fellow music producer and brother Operator in launching Gnosis Records, has incorporated the inception of their own label nights in 2016. This venture has given Sejon the opportunity not only to flourish as a resident DJ, but also as a visual artist. Extending his creative merit to visuality, Sejon films, edits and arranges stimulating background visuals in line with the label’s conceptuality, while maintaining his artistic vision. With a strong drive to produce and play consistently acclaimed music, true to a genuine techno aesthetic, Sejon’s pursuits in DJing, production and visuals will no doubt form the basis of an interesting future, with bright artistic prospects within the electronic music industry.

Known as globally touring DJ and the man behind OFF Recordings for several years, the recent past saw massive changes for Andre Crom. He embarked on a journey in many ways, physically (from Berlin to Barcelona), musically (from house to techno), and artistically, from being primarily a DJ, to becoming a full-fledged music producer. After years of global touring, mostly based on heading a well-known label, and having co-produced a number of club hits, Crom realized that - few exceptions apart - the foundation of becoming and staying an internationally relevant electronic music artist, is to become a really accomplished producer with a trademark sound. In the past, music production used to be something intimidating to Crom, a process where one constantly has to face their limits. But limits can be overcome, and after a year of obsessive learning and producing, he nowadays feels at home in his studio as behind the decks. Crom: "It gives me a great satisfaction to create a new track, play it on the weekend and see people really go for it. But it is also the pure joy of learning and creating, which drives me into the studio pretty much every day." The result of this production marathon is a series of new releases on labels such as Ovum, 100%Pure, Sleaze, OFF and others. Musically, Crom is exploring different shades of techno. Warm and raw saturated beats meet melodic and rhythmic themes, which add hook-factor and character to the grooves. The resulting tracks and songs are as dancefloor-effective as they are emotional. Andre Crom's enduring passion for underground dance music becomes most visible during his DJ-sets, where he seamlessly combines house and techno, melodic and monotone themes, function and emotion, to create an effortless flow and deep connection with the dancefloor.

Few come as well versed in family values as that of long serving techno legend Adam Beyer. A husband, father and certified underground icon, the Stockholm-based DJ/producer has come to embody one of the most consistent and carefully constructed legacies to emerge from Europe and hold influence across the continents. From festival main stages and coveted club floors through to the global airwaves and Beatport charts alike, Beyer’s extended musical legacy is felt across the board. At the outset of 2016, Beyer is positively beaming about the way things have panned out. “This is the most exciting it’s ever been - I’ve finally ended up where I was trying to get,” he explains. “As a techno DJ it’s never going to happen overnight. It’s a long road to walk to get to that point where you have earned the resect and loyalty of the industry and the fans.” Many an advocate of the genre came before Beyer, but few have held a presence within the world of techno as respected and long serving. A DJ first and foremost, life as a producer saw Beyer gradually hone and perfect a sound that would seemingly fill a void within the modern musical landscape. Serving a more functional take on the sound that still honoured some of the heyday genre hallmarks of North America and mainland Europe, Adam’s mantra has remained a relatively simple one: Respect the sound, maintain its integrity and gradually push things forward. Brick-by-brick, the sound became a signature felt across club land, but a connection remains between the sound of Adam’s earliest work and the sought after productions he now brandishes. At the helm of Adam Beyer’s career stands a brand that has taken techno to truly global heights. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2016, Drumcode’s full-hearted philosophy of releasing music always with the DJ in mind has allowed the label to expand into an all-encompassing brand, one now heralded as much as a musical identity as it is an attitude among the underground community. Providing a rare opportunity for Beyer to simultaneously renew what is current whilst looking to the next generation of talents, it’s expansion into branded nights across the globe has made this one of the best travelled brands in modern techno, with its branded radio show taking further flight with broadcasts across more than 53 different countries. Its sound has been imitated, it’s durability tested by the changing tides of the music industry, but Drumcode’s ongoing peak is a testament to a brand that has dared to take the long way around in the name of becoming a sustainable and consistent musical powerhouse. Behind the decks, there are many different forces to be experienced from Beyer. Be it an international festival headline spot or a more intimate club show, his solo sets adapt and evolve to fit the various moods of his globetrotting tour schedule. Alongside partner Ida Engberg, looser afterhours sets with the ability to focus on songs have become a favourite across the international club circuit. Paired alongside his ability to take the stage with numerous members of the global techno community, Adam Beyer’s live persona truly knows no limits. Opting for business as usual over tired celebratory gimmicks, Beyer approaches 2016 in fighting form. Kick-starting a brand new venture in the form of Junction 2 Festival, a suitably stacked out summer of international festival and Ibiza dates add to a marker year for Beyer. Whether it’s on record, behind the decks or under the reliable Drumcode umbrella, Adam Beyer continues to unravel an unprecedented success story for the global underground circuit.
