The fourth Seance release is by Netherlands duo Monoline, Marnix Bruinsma & Kevin Rutten who have a solid back catalogue of releases on DJ Hi-Shock’s Translucent, Vegim’s Take More Music and Different is Different for example.
Flug from Argentina is now based in Barcelona, and has long been a sought after talent, releasing his music on some of the world’s leading labels such as Chris Liebing’s CLR, Hans Bouffmyhre’s Sleaze, Slam’s Soma, Pär Grindvik’s Stockholm LTD and Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records to name only a few.
The second remix is delivered by Fixeer from Mexico, who has been gaining respect at every turn following music released on Ricardo Garduno’s Illegal Alien, Vector Functions, B55 Records and remixed himself by the likes of Kyle Geiger and Mark Morris.
“Speech Cobras” is a jacking rhythm filled with hypnotic qualities from complimenting haunting keys, and an overall industrial edge. A ping pong hook with an ear-catching delay is the lead sound at play sure to win you over.
Second track “Courtesy” is a tripped out and driving peak time track. Analogue warmth is omnipresent along with gritty, metallic synths providing and uplifting vibe ready to work any dancefloor.
Flug’s remix of Speech Cobras spins a delicate web of hypnosis, accentuating and concentrating on the organic build up of tension that demands attention.
“Larkhill” is the first of two digital only tracks. Beginning with a huge, powerful beat, the character shifts when an overtone of modular style accents combine with moody bass swells to make this a standout smasher.
Fixeer reworks Larkhill, opting for a stripped back, dubby sound, aimed at those who appreciate some introspective and subtle qualities, which uses distinguished textures and layers for a unique appeal.
