Lucy Announces Third Album ‘Self Mythology’

The third entry in Lucy’s trio of adventurous full-lengths is visually introduced by artwork of a pearl-bearing shell, designed by Stroboscopic Artefacts’ resident visual artist (and Lucy’s brother) Ignazio Mortellaro. This drops a subtle hint as to the nature of its contents: just as a pearl slowly forms within its enclosing body in response to organic challenges, Lucy’s work is also a kind of crystallization of memory and experience into an artefact of great value.

You may remember we introduced you to the Diffuse Reality label around the summer of last year by reviewing their debut release Introduction_

Since then the label has grown adding more releases to their discography and launching their own radio show / podcast on Seance Radio in 2015.

Not resting on their laurels the team are set continue with great musical output at the start of 2016 and next up sees the limited edition CD release of the works of North Japan based artist Imugem Orihasam titled – Assemble Unreality

Subsist – SUB-D41 [Reviewed]

Subsist records (Valencia, Spain) has built up an extensive back catalogue of underground electronica & techno since its inception in 2010, featuring artists including Ntogn, Voidloss and SHXCXCHCXSH amongst many others. The 41st (yes, 41) release is the debut long player from Squaric, purveyor of self-defined “distorted rave”. The release has already received strong feedback from the likes of Pfirter, P.E.A.R.L, Pinion and Mike Stern, and features 8 tracks of powerful and experimental music. The intensity of the music is sometimes brutal, but is always done with flair, intelligence and a little playfulness. There is plenty here both for the listening head and the dancing floor – here are some of the highlights.

Seance To Launch Label…
