Spectralband is far from a stranger to Drum & Bass, a once avid record collector of multiple genres whose vinyl selection that was once in the tens of thousands that has now whittled down to no more than a couple of hundred prized-possession vinyl circa the 1993 – 1994 Darkcore era. Although making a conscious decision to return to the source of electronic music, namely Techno he has always kept his finger on the pulse and continues to support the scene by buying music from the artists whose production represents his tastes.
Even during his time on Rinse FM could every so often be heard throwing down 30-60 minutes of new or classic Drum & Bass during his radio show. Ideally he would have liked to have invited more guests on to the show but found it to be counter-productive to the aim of pushing Techno.
Now with the platform of Seance Radio Spectralband is able to concentrate on that goal by way of the Parametric Activity Podcast, inviting global guests of past, present and future to showcase their sound to a wider audience and connecting the dots of genres within the parameters of underground electronic music
